Greatest. Class. Ever

Lineups for the MLB All-Star game were announced yesterday, and once again it was on display just how kick-ass the Class of '95 was for high school sports in Colorado. We f-ing ruled!

Roy Halladay (Arvada West, class of '95) and Brad Lidge (Cherry Creek, class of '95) were both picked as reserve pitchers for the game. It's the 2nd All-Star game for Lidge, and the 5th for Halladay, proving again that the Class of '95 is fucking awesome.

Granted I don't have Irv and Joe's expansive knowledge of Colorado High School sports from any time before about 1990, but I think it's a pretty safe bet to say that the 1995 class produced the greatest crop of talent in the history of the state.

Halladay and Lidge top the baseball talent.

In basketball we had Michael Ruffin (Cherry Creek) and Chauncey Billups (George Washington).

In football we had.... Well... I know that the "Albino Rhino" Kevin McDougal (Arvada West) played for the Colts for a couple of seasons, and I think that Tom Ashworth (Cherry Creek) was a class of '95 guy.

There are probably some others I'm leaving out that Brainz will remember (his brain is like a steel trap filled with crap like this). But I think it's safe to say that the Class of '95 was the greatest class in the history of everything.

Feel free to bestow gifts upon us, as you bask in the glow of sheer awesomeness that exudes from our every pore.

Who you got in '94?

You know what? I can't think of a single guy from '94. I actually thought Chauncey was a '94 grad.

You win this round, JT.
